Lex Now is owned and operated by VAKIL NOW TECH, 1/6, Gupta Residence, Bal Bhawan Road, Gandhi Nagar, Jind, Haryana – 126102, India.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Lex Now, we collect information you provide directly (name, phone number, email), information generated through your use of the app (appointments, messages, reviews, legal queries), and technical data (device type, OS version, app version, FCM token for push notifications).

For advocates, we also collect professional information including bar council registration number, practice areas, courts, years of experience, consultation fee, and profile details you choose to share. Pro, Bar Council–verified advocates may additionally choose to make their phone number publicly visible on their profile (see "Direct Contact" in Section 3) — this is a separate, opt-in disclosure beyond the contact-sharing described below, and advocates control it from their own profile settings at all times.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the Lex Now service
• To connect clients with advocates and facilitate consultations
• To send appointment confirmations, reminders, and push notifications
• To verify advocate credentials and maintain platform integrity
• To process points purchases and apply referral codes
• To respond to support requests
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

• With the other party in a consultation — advocates see client contact details when they use points to unlock a query; clients see advocate profile information
• Client Directory: Verified advocates may also use points to unlock the contact details (name, phone number, city/state) of clients browsing the platform's Client Directory, even if that client hasn't posted a specific query to that advocate. By using Lex Now as a client, you consent to this sharing as part of the platform's advocate-matching features.
• Direct Contact: Pro, Bar Council–verified advocates may choose to display their own phone number directly on their public profile, visible to any user browsing the app — not only those who have unlocked contact details. This is opt-in and controlled entirely by the advocate. When a client taps the Call or WhatsApp button on such a profile, we record that the action occurred (for service-quality and analytics purposes) but we do not record or have any access to the content of the resulting call or message — that communication happens entirely outside Lex Now's systems, via your device's phone or WhatsApp app.
• With Firebase (Google) for app infrastructure, authentication, and cloud functions
• With Apple (via App Store in-app purchases) and Google (via Google Play Billing) for processing advocate points purchases — neither Apple nor Google processes client-to-advocate payments, as those are settled directly between the parties outside the platform
• With Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads) Meta (Meta Pixel) and Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity) for website analytics and advertising measurement, as described in Section 7
• When required by Indian law or court order

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security including Firebase Authentication, Firestore security rules, and encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS). We do not collect or store any payment card information. Points purchases are processed entirely by Apple or Google on their secure platforms and we receive only a confirmation of the transaction.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@lexnow.in. You may also submit a deletion request online or delete your account directly from the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account). We will respond to data requests within 7 business days.

6. Children's Privacy

Lex Now is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will delete it.

7. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies from Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and Meta (Meta Pixel) to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the performance of our advertising — for example, whether a visit from an ad led to a legal query being submitted.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with our website (such as clicks, scrolling and where visitors leave a page) so we can improve it. Text you type into forms — including your legal query, name and phone number — is masked and not recorded by Clarity. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

When you submit a query on our website, your phone number may be shared with Google and Meta in hashed (encrypted, one-way) form so they can match the submission to an ad interaction. The hashed value cannot be used to read your phone number. Your legal query text is never shared with advertising partners.

You can disable or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad personalisation through your Google Ad Settings and Meta Ad Preferences.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or necessary to resolve outstanding disputes.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be notified via the app. Continued use of Lex Now after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
