Lex Now is owned and operated by VAKIL NOW TECH, 1/6, Gupta Residence, Bal Bhawan Road, Gandhi Nagar, Jind, Haryana – 126102, India.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Lex Now, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms are governed by the laws of India and disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Haryana, India.

2. The Lex Now Platform

Lex Now is a technology platform, owned and operated by VAKIL NOW TECH, that facilitates discovery of advocates, scheduling of consultations, and communication between users and advocates. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice ourselves. Lex Now does not sell or guarantee legal clients, referrals, or legal work to advocates. The advocates on our platform are independent professionals responsible for their own services.

Advocate profiles displayed on Lex Now are intended to provide factual professional information — practice areas, qualifications, Bar Council enrolment details, and availability — and are not intended to constitute advertising or solicitation of legal work.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts
• Accounts are non-transferable
• You must be 18 years or older to use Lex Now

4. Advocate Obligations

Advocates on Lex Now must hold a valid bar council registration, maintain their profile information accurately, honour confirmed appointments, and conduct themselves professionally at all times. Misleading clients, providing false credentials, or engaging in unprofessional conduct is grounds for immediate removal from the platform.

Advocates must not:

• solicit users who have not requested contact;
• make misleading claims about expertise, ranking, or success;
• describe themselves as "best," "top," "#1," or similarly, on their profile or in communications through the platform;
• offer inducements to obtain legal work;
• use Lex Now to mass-contact prospective clients who have not initiated contact; or
• misuse contact information obtained through the platform for any purpose other than responding to the specific request it relates to.

Advocates may communicate with a user following that user's consultation request or other user-initiated interaction through the platform.

5. Client Obligations

Clients must use the platform in good faith, attend confirmed appointments or cancel with reasonable notice (minimum 2 hours prior), and not misuse the feedback system. Fake feedback, harassment of advocates, or abuse of the credits system is grounds for account suspension.

6. Lex Now Credits

Lex Now operates a credits-based system for certain advocate-side platform features and technology services. Advocates purchase credits through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Credits have no monetary value outside the platform, cannot be withdrawn as cash, and are non-transferable between accounts. Credits are consumed when used and are non-refundable once spent. Lex Now reserves the right to adjust credit balances in cases of fraud or abuse, and to modify this system at any time with notice.

7. Payments

The only payments processed in connection with Lex Now are credits purchases, which are handled entirely by Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) through their respective in-app purchase systems. Lex Now does not collect or process any payments directly.

Consultation fees are agreed directly between clients and advocates and are settled outside the Lex Now platform — for example by UPI, bank transfer, or cash at the time of consultation. Lex Now has no involvement in these transactions and is not responsible for payment disputes, non-payment, or refunds between clients and advocates.

8. Contact Information Sharing & Direct Communication

Lex Now provides ways for clients and advocates to connect following a user-initiated request:

• Information a user submits through the platform may be used to provide relevant platform functionality, including facilitating a consultation request with an advocate the user has selected or contacted.
• Direct Contact: Bar Council–verified advocates may choose to display their phone number directly on their public profile, enabling any client to call or message them on WhatsApp. Advocates opt into this feature voluntarily and may switch it off at any time from their profile settings.

Any call, WhatsApp message, or other communication conducted through these features takes place outside the Lex Now app. We do not monitor, store, or moderate the content of these external communications, and we are not responsible for their content, outcome, or any dispute arising from them — the same way we are not responsible for consultation fees or arrangements settled directly between clients and advocates. Lex Now may record that a contact action occurred (for example, that a Call or WhatsApp button was tapped) for service-quality and analytics purposes, but does not record or have access to the substance of the communication itself.

9. Limitation of Liability

Lex Now provides a platform to facilitate discovery, scheduling, and communication between clients and advocates. We are not liable for the quality of legal services provided by advocates, the outcome of any legal matter, or any disputes between clients and advocates. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Intellectual Property

The Lex Now name, logo, and all platform content are owned by Lex Now. Advocates retain ownership of articles and content they publish. You grant Lex Now a licence to display your profile and content on the platform.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or harm the platform or its users. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations arising before the termination date.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of Lex Now after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
